A presidential aspirant on the platform of the Alliance for New Nigeria, Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, has expressed confidence that more of his opponents across party lines will step down for him in the weeks ahead.
Olawepo-Hashim said this in an interview with SUNDAY PUNCH in Abuja.
He was reacting to the decision of a fellow contender for the ANN presidential ticket, Alhaji Ibrahim Dan-Musa, who stepped down from the race to support his candidacy.
The presidential aspirant, who was one of the four successful aspirants earlier screened by the Middle Belt Forum, said, “Alhaji Dan-Musa’s decision is a decision in support of a new and better Nigeria.
“I believe that in the coming days, more contenders across party lines will join us in the journey to a better Nigeria.”
